Anne, Mary, Sarah, and I visited Elizabethtown, IL. We were on business with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for our semester planning retreat and Anne and Mary were able to accompany us. We had a great time as did Anne and Mary, although they were a little scarred by the elk on the wall at the cabin!
Elizabethtown is a small and quaint town that has a lot of historical sites and interesting places to visit. We visited the Ohio River Ferry, Floating Catfish Restaurant, and the hunting cabin of a very prominent businessman. This picture here is all four of us at one of the River Taxi stops. The river taxi is actually a section of the Rides Mass Transit. Surprised? I was.
It was 73 miles to Elizabethtown and 73 miles back to Carbondale. That makes for 146 total miles traveled by Anne and Mary bringing the total number of miles traveled this semester to 2,942.5 . The the latitude and longitude coordinates for the location are 37.47N - 88.32W
